Pulp in Manchester: Live From Wythenshawe Park (Fri 28 Aug 2026)
Pulp headline the Friday of Live From Wythenshawe Park on Fri 28 Aug 2026, 4.30pm, with Self Esteem on the bill — and it's sold out. Here's where returns would actually appear, and which of the other four nights on the same field you can still book.

The show
Pulp — Live From Wythenshawe Park, Manchester, Fri 28 Aug, 4.30pm, sold out (listing).
It's the Friday of a five-show outdoor run on the same south-Manchester parkland, and the hottest ticket of the lot — the official festival site has had it marked sold out since early August, and it still was when we checked on 14 Aug 2026. The Ticketmaster listing puts Self Esteem on the bill before Pulp, which is a genuine reason to be through the gates early rather than treating the support slot as queue time. It lands on the August Bank Holiday and Manchester Pride weekend, so the city will be full — if you're coming, book the bed now, ticket or no ticket.
House rules from the listing: no under-5s at all, under-14s must be with an adult, and there's a hard cap of six tickets per person and per household — anything above six gets cancelled.
Can you still get Pulp Wythenshawe Park tickets?
Not today — the show is sold out and we don't pretend otherwise. If any returns or official resale appear, they'll surface on the Ticketmaster listing, so that page is the only one worth refreshing. Don't buy from strangers on social — a festival-format site scans every ticket at one set of gates, and a dud gets you nothing but a long tram ride back.
Honestly, though: don't chase it. The same field runs four more nights either side, and two of them are still on sale.
The other four nights on the same field
The full Live From Wythenshawe Park run, checked against the festival site on 14 Aug 2026:
- The Cure — Fri 21 Aug, 4.30pm, sold out (listing) — with slowdive and The Slow Readers Club; gone the same way as Pulp.
- Lewis Capaldi — Sat 22 Aug, 4pm, from £80.85 (tickets) — extra tickets released and still available as of 14 Aug; the full plan for that day is on our Capaldi page.
- Courteeners — Sat 29 Aug, 3pm, price on ticketer (tickets) — the festival site says final tickets, and the bill stacks The Coral and The Vaccines under a Manchester band on home turf. The closest thing to the Pulp night still on sale.
- The Prodigy — Sun 30 Aug, 3pm, price on ticketer (tickets) — with Carl Cox, Andy C and David Rodigan on the same bill, which is a dance lineup wearing a festival's clothes. On sale with the least sweat as of 14 Aug.
Getting to Wythenshawe Park
Wythenshawe Park sits in Northenden, well south of the centre — there's no ten-minute walk to anything once you're through the gate. The tram does the work: Metrolink Airport line from St Peter's Square to the Wythenshawe Park stop. Going back is the squeeze, since a full site empties onto one platform — move before the encore ends or accept the queue with everyone else.
Eat in town first. Bundobust on Piccadilly (££, vegetarian Indian street food, get the okra fries) is a short walk from the tram at St Peter's Square and doesn't need a booking at lunchtime. Once you're inside the park it's festival food at festival prices.
If you only do one thing: take the Courteeners Saturday while "final tickets" still means tickets. Same field, same tram, one day later than the show you missed.
The gig is one night — the weekend around it is Pride, Kevin Bridges at the Apollo and club nights across the Village, all in 48 Hours in Manchester (28–30 Aug 2026). Fancy a stadium blowout instead? Bon Jovi play Croke Park, Dublin that same Sunday — from €105.97 and a short flight away.
