Airport to centre: the Koleje Małopolskie train runs from Kraków Airport (Balice) to Kraków Główny in about 17 minutes, at least twice an hour, 20 zł (£4) one way. A taxi into the centre takes 25–30 minutes depending on traffic and costs roughly 80–100 zł (£16–20) — worth it only if you land late or heavy with bags.

Getting around: the Old Town, Wawel, Kazimierz and the Filharmonia are all walkable within 20 minutes of each other. Czyżyny — Rockowizna and Klub Kwadrat — is out past the centre; take the tram or budget 15–20 zł for a taxi each way.
